WHO ARE YOU GOING TO TRUST?

Are you going to trust in Me, or are you going to trust in man?  There are many benefits to trusting in Me.  There are many disappointments in putting the whole of your trust in man.  What can man really do for you that I would not do, if I thought it was best for your eternal life?  What can man give you that I would not give you, if I thought it were wise?  Trust In Me.  Trust completely in Me.  Do not lean on the arm of man.

Psalm 118:8

"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people."

Jeremiah 17:5-7

"This is what the Lord says: 'Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.  They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future.  They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.  But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.  They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.  Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.  Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.' "

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I am going to trust in You with all my heart.  I want all Your benefits to manifest in my life.  Show me if there are places in my heart where I am not completely abandoned to Your will.  Show me how to develop a more intimate trust in You.
