Don't overcommit yourself.  I love that you let your yes be yes, and your no be no.  I love that you are a person of integrity, who swears to your own hurt, and does not change your mind.  I love that you are not willing to compromise your word, or your character, by shrinking back from a commitment.  Those are admirable character traits, many people lack.  Don't overcommit yourself.  Let me show you when to say yes and when to say no.  People will pull, tug, and even manipulate, but I have your best interest at heart.  I see the big picture.  I know what's around the corner.  So ask Me, and wait for My yes or no.

Matthew 5:37

"Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed."

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I need Your help.  I say yes, when I should say no......when I'm already stretched too thin.  Help me avoid overcommitting myself, so that I don't wear myself out, or burn myself out.  Give me the grace to do what You've called me to do, and the wisdom to know what not to do.
