Greetings, church family!

I love the month of May!  In addition to Mother’s Day, it is a transitional month of beautiful weather, celebration of promotions and graduations, and a time we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to the United States.

This weekend is also a very Holy Day, the Feast of Weeks!  Or in New Testament terms, Pentecost! Pentecost is 50 days after Passover, and this year it is this very weekend!

The Feast of Weeks was one of the feasts that was ordained by God, commemorating when He gave the word of God, the Torah, to Moses on Mount Sinai. In the New Testament, the feast of Weeks that celebrated as Pentecost, which comes from the Greek word Pentekoste, meaning fiftieth. It also marks the moment in the New Testament in Acts chapter 2, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles in Jerusalem, just as Jesus promised.  It is the commemoration of the birth of the Church!

There is so much to celebrate with this truth! I pray for a Pentecost Sunday with you tomorrow as we usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit and that in these last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. 18 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants--men and women alike-- and they will prophesy. 19 And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below…Acts 2:17-19 (NLT)

Let’s expect THAT kind of Sunday tomorrow!🔥

Tomorrow, our friend Gabe Palmer will be preaching. Please join us as he breaks bread and brings the word with us!
