BLESS THOSE WHO MISTREAT YOU

Despite the many times you've read and quoted Ephesians 6:12, you sometimes still fall into the trap of viewing people who mistreat you as enemies.  People are not your enemies.  As for their actions, the devil is influencing their behavior at times, and at other times their carnal nature is taking over.

Either way, you're not really wrestling against flesh and blood.....and flesh and blood is not wrestling against you.  Remember what Paul said: "Bless those who persecute you" (Romans 12:14).  I'm telling you to bless those who mistreat you, and to forgive them.

Proverbs 11:25-26

"The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."

"People curse those who hoard their grain, but they bless the one who sells in time of need."

Romans 12:14

"Bless those who persecute you.  Don't curse them; pray that God will bless them."

1 Peter 3:9

"Don't repay evil for evil.  Don't retaliate with insults, when people insult you.  Instead, pay them back with a blessing.  That is what God has called you to do, and He will grant you His blessing."

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for reminding me.  Sometimes it sure seems like I'm wrestling against people.  Help me see what's going on behind the scenes in the spirit realm.  Help me discern the real enemy.  Show me how to bless always.
