SHIFT YOUR THINKING

All of these things that trouble you....and even the things that delight you.....are so temporary.  They will all fade away.....all of the annoyances, trials, and persecutions.  None of this lasts.  None of it is eternal.  None of it matters beyond this life on Earth.  Write eternity on your heart.  Consider the eternal impact of your prayers and our works.  Shift your thinking.

2 Peter 3:10-11

"But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief.  Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything  on it will be found to deserve judgment.  Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live...."

1 Timothy 4:8

"Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come."

James 5:16

"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other, so that you may be healed.  The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I live to worship You.  Help me worship You all the more.  I will sing Your praises all the days of my life.  I expect to meet You in that place of praise and worship.  Help me shut off the distractions that keep me from entering that heavenly place.
