Description:
What the corporate media and government do not permit, the theatre permits. Join us for a night of dramatic scenes from playwrights Sander Hicks and Richard Squires, as they violate the social taboo around asking questions about the 9/11 attacks.
Hicks' play "Bronze Star" is based on the true story of the life and death of an American whistle-blower. Dr. David Graham met two of the "9/11 hijackers" ten months before 9/11 in his native Shreveport, LA. When he warned the FBI, Congress, and Secret Service, he adamantly refused to change his story. He died of a mysterious poisoning, on the verge of publishing his story. "Bronze Star" explores the tragic place where history, faith, government, conspiracy and cover-up intersect, just outside of the Barksdale Air Force Base.
“A Blanket of Dust”, by Richard Squires, tells the story of Diana Crane. Born the daughter of a US Senator, Crane husband dies in the World Trade Center. This is the story of a courageous widow who faces the truth about 9/11, despite the blanket of denial from her family, government and media. Crane gathers a community group to oppose "state crimes against democracy," whose perpetrators stand at the highest levels of power in society. It's an inspiring story about the indomitable will of the people.
