Hi group,
Could anyone please answer a question for me? In D&C 130:22 it states" The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us."
Question: How can a person of flesh and bones create "Spirit Children"?
You guys have a blessed day.
Thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan!

The question is: "How can a person of flesh and bones create "Spirit
Children"?

I don't have a clue. I certainly have never heard it asked in
Mormonism, and I can't find any LDS quotes that would successfully
answer it. But, I would guess that a Mormon would answer it by saying
something like "its because god is god, so that is what makes it
possible". I would hazard to bet that only a non-Mormon would think
that. That doesn't really answer your question, though. In reality,
a person of flesh and bone cannot create "spirit children". Anybody
else have any thoughts?

Sorry I can't be of any help either in answering your question.
I once spoke with an LDS member about their belief in existence of
Spirits in premortality and then explained to them that in the book of
Job God asked Job if he was there when God laid the foundation of the
earth, which if premortality were true, Job would have said "YES" I
was there as a Spirit! But we can see from studying the passages in
context, God is saying: "Job, you weren't there so how can you know!"

Job 38:2-7 "Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without
knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you
shall answer me. "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?
Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you
know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its
footings set, or who laid its cornerstone- while the morning stars
sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?"
