Hi!
Thanks for writing. I understand your dilemma. However, I would
suggest that you talk to them and share your concern - you don't want
to compromise your faith, but you do love their daughter. If you go,
watch and listen and use it as an opportunity to ask them about LDS
beliefs that you heard/saw. Order "True to the Faith" from their
website lds.org (about $1.50) and use it as a springboard to
conversations when the opportunities arise. Always compare to what
the Bible says. Our own teaching website www.truthinlovetomormons.com
is a great resouce.
But, back to your current dilimma - talk to them, be honest, and
see what opportunities God might have in mind for you. God can use
everything for His good purposes and for His glory. I thank God for
your faith and am interested in how He will use you with this family.
