Then from the device manager list, check the entries under "Printer" - If there are any entries, please right click and choose "uninstall" - In the confirm device un-install pop-up, make sure you select the box which says "Delete the driver software for this device".

Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.Again, go to Run window, type - "c:/programdata" - Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

I apologize immediately for my English.
We bought a few multifunctional devices. Faced a problem.
The drivers for printing are installed without problems. The scanner can not install. Error: not supported by your operating system.
From the experience of working with MFP127: Run the complete installation package and install everything without problems, including HP Scan.
Perhaps someone has already encountered.

Also on the Server NEVER run the whole installation, just download from the HP website the latest drivers for your server/clients x86/x64 - base drivers only.
The clients can have more software but even then I shy away from the whole suite as HP do install loads you do not want/need

Clients are connected to the terminal server. Those clients who have Windows XP or Windows 7 also work only on the terminal server. They do not even have an office on their PC and will not. This is the order in the company.

Please note that I edited my comment above as I misread the specs on this printer and overlooked the fact that the M130 does have TWAIN support for desktop versions of Windows, but I correctly stated that it lists no Network OS support at all.

Hello DizzyHarison, thank you for your post which has received some helpful feedback from the other IT Pros. See also the input from our consultant. Since this is your first post a warm welcome to Spiceworks!

The scanner in the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw is TWAIN version 2.1 compliant . Priscilla has inquired the availability of the TWAIN driver and was told that it is a part of the main driver package.

It's pretty crazy that HP thinks publishing a corrupt firmware and then not helping users fix the problem is acceptable behavior, but I guess this is normal for big corporations? It will probably take them weeks to even remove the published corrupt firmware.

I was able to fix the problem with the M130nw by uploading a couple of firmware versions I found in a torrent using the copy /b (firmware file) \\localhost\printershare method to a manually installed USB-Printer with some Microsoft PCL driver (driver was was probably not even important).

I initially thought the last firmware I uploaded had fixed it, but I'm now on firmware 20201023, so I guess it was probably the one second to last. This is also the one someone shared with the google drive link in the other thread, so this is probably a good one

The solution from Gerald_H worked also for me. By the way all user settings were still in the printer. The firmware version 20211215 is definitely corrupt and will destroy the printer operation system. The printer will not boot any more.

If you're using Windows and you've installed a HP driver, VueScan's built-in drivers won't conflict with this. If you haven't installed a Windows driver for this scanner, VueScan will automatically install a driver.

Have tried for 3 days to install this printer on my laptop via usb cable. Says it is installed. But under devices it shows that ot needs troubleshooting. Have tried full installs and basic installs. No luck. Is HP working on correcting this as it appears to be an installation/driver issue)?

@llmoi- please ensure you follow the steps exactly as shown, skipping the "Click on Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" step as example will cause the upate to fail.... these steps should resolve such behavior,

It is essential to note that in an environment where this printer will perform at an optimum level, certain factors matter. One of such factors is the operating humidity range between 30 and 70% without condensation. Whereas, a variety of 10 to 90% is sufficient for storage humidity, also without condensation. In terms of temperature, the recommended interval for operations is between 17.5 to 250C. However, for the storage, the range is between -20 and 600C in a mercury-free environment.

The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw model is also an all-in-one printer that can print, copy, and scan documents effectively. Therefore, the coping feature has several options that include the number of copies and contrast adjustment. Others include optimization, paper selection, multipage text, and a draft mode. Similarly, the maximum amount it can cover is about 99 at once, from the original. The copier can also enlarge or reduce copies of original to 400% and 25% respectively. It also produces a resolution of 600 x 400 dots per inch (dpi).

For standard connectivity for the use of the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw model, the options include a hi-speed USB2.0. Other options include an inbuilt fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX network port and wireless Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n component. The acoustic power emissions from the printer are about 6.5 B(A) during printing at 23 ppm. Also, the internal memory capacity of the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw model is about 256 MB of RAM.

Users can, at the same time, entrust this machine with mobile printing features like the Apple AirPrint, and HP ePrint. Others are Google Cloud Print 2.0, Wi-Fi direct, and Mopria certified printing feature. It supports the use of network protocols like the TCP/IP, IPv6, IPv4, IP direct mode, SLP, Bonjour WS-Discovery, and LPD. The input tray can also hold 150 sheets while the output tray holds 100 sheets. Download HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw driver from Hp website

AirPrint is a technology built into most popular printer models, including those listed here. With AirPrint technology, it's easy to print full-quality photos and documents from your Apple device. AirPrint features include easy discovery, automatic media selection, and enterprise-class finishing options.

The printers, print servers, and USB-only devices listed here are provided by each manufacturer and updated regularly by Apple. If you don't see your model, check with the manufacturer for more information.

To use AirPrint, you don't need to install an app, additional drivers, or other software. Just connect the AirPrint printer to your Wi-Fi network, then choose it in the print dialog when you print from your Mac or print from your iPhone or iPad, for example.

Similar to AirPrint printers, these USB devices allow you to print or scan without having to install additional drivers. Because they require a USB connection, they support driverless printing or scanning only from Mac computers.
