Ireally don't know about this one. I don't see the point of a workbench considering you don't use tools for crafting. You can just keep a chest beside your crafting table. I honestly don't know how I feel about this suggestion.

You could, for example, put common crafting materials into the workbench inventory, and if you're in the middle of crafting something and need to fetch something, you wouldn't have to take the items out of the crafting slots. It might not be that useful in Vanilla, but it'd be useful for those with mods, or those who just like the convenience. The plugin API is going to be a thing eventually, so something like this would be very useful for it as well.

You'd have to take out the items from the crafting table, fetch the materials, then return and place the materials again. Sure, it might not be a big problem in Vanilla, but with the plugin API becoming a thing eventually, and more and more recipes being more complex, it would be better to add prematurely before it becomes necessary.

I see the logic in it, for instance your mining forgot your chest, but you have your crafting table so it's fine. I understand that part, but as others have stated you could just grab a chest, and it would be the same idea.

That is no additional storage (at least on the table its self) however if you put an item in the crafting grid it stays in the grid when you close the gui. (indirectly you could store things in the grid, but then you can't use it as a crafting table, sorta the same as using a dropper for storage)

This ought not include auto crafting the user ought to need to remove the crafted item.. it just lets you leave the crafting grid without swiping you arm across the top of the table and having all the items fall to the floor before you look into the chest next to the crafting bench)

Is this strictly necessary no. But its less tedious when crafting say a piston and finding after placing everything you somehow didn't have red stone dust in your inventory, not needing to pick up and re-draw the pastern once you have the red stone (if this is your storage room it took longer re-drawing the pattern than opening the red stone chest) also if the redstone wasn't forgotten but in block form.. you can leave the table gui to craft the dust elsewhere.

Overall thus partial support, I want the items staying in the crafting grid when you close the gui, however I don't care for the additional storage. That I agree to just use a chest. (and I'm a bit indifferent to seeing the adjacent inventory feature of tinker's construct in vanilla)

Either way, don't really think we need this. That's not really a valid argument. We don't "need" a levitation status effect nor do we need spectral arrows, but they're being implemented anyways.

Saying "we don't need it" isn't really going to do that, as it's a pointless opinion (As in an opinion that is pointless to state, not that all opinions are pointless) that does not add to the discussion in any way whatsoever.

Well all of my opinions had been stated above. The post was not meant to be critique, I was simply asking for a clarification. (and yeah I said I don't support, but that wasn't the purpose of the post)

The definition of lazy is a bit too lose to be used here. It's a convenience, allowing for more compact and efficient crafting stations, while also allowing multiple players to craft together at once (Instead of having to give all the items to one person) which both may seem insignificant, but it would be nice.

Personally I'd have more support for adding a crafting table into regular chests, but having a fourth type of chest just seems like too much to me, especially for something that's not necessary to the game. While it would be a convenience, it actually would ruin the nice little feeling of gathering all your materials across all your chests, and then carrying them over to your table and getting to work. (Hope this is a better critique )

Personally I'd have more support for adding a crafting table into regular chests (The issue with that is that existing chests would be converted. Some map makers may not intend for the player to get a crafting table, while still supplying them with chests.), but having a fourth type of chest just seems like too much to me (This isn't a chest though, it's a crafting table, just with added functionality of a chest.), especially for something that's not necessary to the game. While it would be a convenience, it actually would ruin the nice little feeling of gathering all your materials across all your chests, and then carrying them over to your table and getting to work. (You'd still have to do this for the items you don't regularly use in crafting, and therefore don't store in the crafting table inventory.) (Hope this is a better critique )

A Stark Workbench is crafting station in the Superheroes Unlimited mod. First added in version 4.0, it can be used to craft Iron Man's suits and items required to make them, including Repulsors and Stark Tech.

In the Superheroes Unlimited 4.0 to the abandoned 5.0's Alpha, the Stark Workbench can be used as regular Minecraft workbench. With a 3x3 grid, the player can use it to create shaped recipes and craft Iron Man suits and items. These include repulsors, Iron Man armor plates and new Arc Reactors. The player must be wearing an Iron Man suit in order to access the Workbench, as it will not allow them to interact with it if they do not.

When the Superheroes Unlimited was merged into the Legends Mod, the Stark Workbench's functionality changed. Now, the player can unlock the Iron Man suits with tokens, though will need to unlock each suit in order. Additionally, the Workbench can provide the player with the Stark legacy, which will allow them to create Iron Man suits without the use of tokens. Instead, they will need to use their own resources to craft each suit.

The Archeology Workbench is a modified version of the Crafting Table, which is used to fix broken ancient relics, from a time long past. It is the only way to create or repair many Archeological items and decorations.

The Archeology Workbench is an alternate version of the Crafting Table, except the Workbench is a dull brownish color, with a white sheet over the top of it. Much like the table, the workbench has tools, such as two hammers on the front of it.

The Archeology Workbench's main use is to restore artifacts to their previous glory. To use the Archeology Workbench, you must have a good amount of Relic Scraps, which come from Fossils (Stone Tablets do not work), as this is the only thing that can power the workbench. You must also have any kind of broken ancient artifact (see below).

Visual Workbench makes items put into a crafting table stay inside. Breaking the block drops everything on the ground, just like you'd expect. Oh, and crafting ingredients as well as the resulting item are also rendered on top. Really fancy if you ask me!

Q: How do I configure this mod on Fabric?

A: Editing configs directly in-game has not yet been implemented. Instead when in a world run the /config showfile command by choosing either CLIENT or SERVER (depending on the mod), then click the file name (ending with .toml) that appears in chat to be able to manually edit the config file in a separate editor. After saving the file, the config will automatically reload in-game after a couple of seconds, so no game restart required.

Q: Does this work with crafting tables from other mods?

A: Yes, it does, but support has to be manually enabled per block. Many modded crafting tables are supported by default, those that are not can be added to a custom config file found at .minecraft/config/visual_workbench.json (not accessible from in-game). If you add a crafting table yourself and it doesn't work it is likely incompatible with this mod.

Minecraft, a game of creativity and survival, offers a variety of workbenches that players can use to craft, smelt, and enchant items. This guide will walk you through each workbench, its crafting recipe, and its unique functionalities.

The furnace is primarily used to smelt items and cook food. It takes 10 seconds to smelt one item. Be mindful of your fuel sources; for instance, one coal can smelt eight items, but it will continue burning even after all items are smelted. Furnaces also provide XP and emit light when lit.

An Arcane Workbench is the starter crafting table for Thaumcraft 3. The Creator smartly decided not to change all the .class codes in Minecraft to make all the Thaumcraft 3 recipes work on the default Crafting Table. Instead this will be one of the first things you craft in Thaumcraft 3. Most recipes in Thaumcraft 3 require a wand with enough vis charge to craft the item; the Arcane Workbench is no exception. Below the output slot is a slot to place your wand. Wands will automatically charge while in the workbench, but not as fast as it would if you carried them around with you, so it is advised to take your wands out whenever you are done.

Using an arcane worktable has a few advantages over the normal crafting table in addition to being able to craft Thaumcraft items. It is slightly cheaper than a regular workbench, requiring 3.5 planks rather than 4. Also, when the GUI is closed, items will remain in the table rather than being dropped at your feet. This means the table can save a partial recipe for later or be used for storage in a pinch. Lastly, the arcane worktable has two Praecantatio aspects which are useful for creating Thaumium or a variety of infusion recipes.

"To create an Arcane Worktable simply right-click with a wand on a table you have placed in the world. The arcane Worktable serves the same purpose as a normal crafting table, with a few key exceptions.
