I must say I'm a huge fan of this pilot project.  2+1 seating is common in other cities, and can be a huge help, especially on the 40-foot buses that can get the most crowded at peak.

2+1 seating has been a mainstay in Boston on the MBTA for at least 30 years - it's great to see it making its way out here.

Has anyone on this list been on this bus yet?  Thoughts?

Awesome! I wonder if they considered inward-facing seats on the '1' side... they would be able to seat more people that way. This sort of arrangement is desperately needed on packed pay-as-you-leave routes (like the 71/72/73 arriving in the U-District from downtown). Also probably better suited to routes with a shorter average ride time.
