2012 SUPA Bio
For over 15 years Supa has been a voice in Hip Hop music.
At the early age of 12 he wrote and performed his first song and hasn’t stopped since. Born and raised in North Carolina, Supa grew up on all genres of music.
From Public Enemy to the Beach Boys, from Prince to Johnny Cash, Supa listened to and developed a deep passion for all music, but Hip Hop captured his heart and soul.
Supa moved to Texas in 1998 where he linked up with Submission Flow Syndicate, a local hip hop movement in Galveston. He and fellow member Premonition formed the group the Cancerous Clic. Although no longer a group, Premoni and Supa still have remained close to this day and have worked on various projects together.
Most recently Supa was one half of the group Shooters Tour. He and lyricist NiMo released the album The Wake Up Call, considered an underground hip hop classic.
Now residing in the music-rich Golden Triangle of Texas, Supa has now released his debut solo album, Who's That?
Good friend Big Shine has brought his trademark, outstanding production work to this unique project, and together Supa and Shine have blended a unique style and passion for music into what a growing number of industry insiders and fans are already calling “a fresh, one-of-a-kind, classic album!”
People are talking about the unforgettable mix of great beats, great songs and lyrics that are both raw and honest.
In addition, he has just signed a production deal with multi-platinum West Coast producer James Gardiner.
