Role Summary:

Job Title: Kafka Lead

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Mobile, AL, Belton, TX, Wausau, WI (local Candiates Only)

Type : Contract

Looking for a dynamic Platform Lead with expertise in Kafka and DevOps Engineering, and experience in a bank or any financial institution and significant experience engaging with Onshore stakeholders and leading an Offshore based Crew.

Must Have Skills:

• Kafka Administration & Operations
• DevOps
• Performance Tuning and Optimization
• Python for Automation
• Future duties and responsibilities
• Engaging with Client Stakeholders on a daily basis to understand and assess the work packages
• Lead a team of professionals in India to get the work done
• Be a single-point-of-contact for the Kafka Admin work deliverables
• Be able to lead the Platform Operations Team from Onshore
• Work from the assigned Client Location
• Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Dedicated KAFKA Administration and Operations (should know Apache KAFKA architecture in-depth, KSQL, Confluent Cloud, Installation, configuration and management of KAFKA brokers, KAFKA Connect)
• Infrastructure as Code Automation (Terraform and Ansible)
• CI/CD pipeline development
• Performance Tuning and Optimization (on KAFKA clusters including partitions, replication factors and consumer lag)
• Monitoring and Observability (Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, Logscale)
• Security and Compliance (Data encryption and authorization, ACLs)
• Collaboration (Define KAFKA topic structures, schemas and best practices for producers and consumers)
• Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes for Openshift)
• Proficient in Python for Automation
• Site Reliability Engineering experience (good to have)
