Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Tableau Designer with extensive experience in creating visually compelling and user-friendly dashboards and reports. This role requires a strong background in data visualization, user-centric design, and business intelligence best practices. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and design thinking, ensuring that Tableau solutions meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards that are both visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions.
- Apply design principles to ensure dashboards are intuitive, consistent, and meet business objectives.
- Optimize dashboards for performance and usability.
- Mentor and guide junior Tableau developers on best practices and design standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in data visualization, with at least 5 years focusing on Tableau.
- Proven track record of building highly effective and user-centric Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, layout, and UX/UI best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills to gather requirements and present solutions.
- Must be willing to work onsite in San Jose at least 3 days a week.
Additional Notes:
- Contract duration is 6 months or longer, with a flexible rate based on experience and fit.
