Tableau Developer for Client Analytics 

Location New Jersey,  

Long Term Contract

Must have skills

1. At least 5 years of hands-on experience using Tableau Desktop. Must have used Tableau desktop on a daily basis at least 50% of the time.
2. Hands on experience using SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server and any cloud based DBs). Must have knowledge on advanced SQL queries using analytical functions, index usage, performance tuning, simplified querying etc.
3. Hands-on experience using tableau features such as dashboard navigation, export friendly designs, modern UI/UX concepts, level of details expressions, groups, sets, hierarchies, combined fields, time period filters, parameters, dashboard actions (all types) and common financial industry related calculations around weighted averages, ratios and comparisons.
4. Strong knowledge and experience using both logical and physical data modeling, incremental data extract refreshes setup, high volume datasource builds and deployments, tableau published datasources, connection preferences etc.
5. Understanding of tableau server fundamentals on folders, permissions, groups (local and AD), schedules, tasks, subscriptions, alerts and publishing options.

 

Good to have

1. Knowledge of data modeling, ETL and data structures. Data wrangling, transformation and blending knowledge is a plus.
2. Experience or knowledge of using Tableau sever API, Tableau Server Site Administration and hyper API usage.

Experience or knowledge of using batch scripting, control-m scheduler, python programming is a huge plus
