Women need extra vitamins during their life span and each product has
a specific health benefit.

As you are aware that there are a number of nutrients we need daily
and here are some that I take seriously everyday. So what type of
vitamins do I need?

Folic Acid, vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12 are important for my heart
health. B6 and B12 reduce homocysteine levels and hence help to
prevent the calcium from leaching out of my bones. This could lead to
osteoporosis later on in life. B12 also helps me with my anaemia.
These are found in a high quality multivitamin that I take everyday.
The carotenoids present in the multivitamins and antioxidants are
especially beneficial for me against breast cancer.
The beta-carotenoid present in the formulation give me my vitamin A
that my body requires which helps my immunity. I also take extra
selenium as a precaution against cancers.
I would recommend you to take the a high quality supplement too if you
are pregnant as the folic acid is important in preventing nueral tube
defects in un- born babies.
Vitamin D is responsible for reducing the occurance of osteoporosis in
women and the most high quality vitamins have Vitamin D in them. Look
for vitamin D3 as it's been proven to be more effective than other
forms of vitamin D. The extra zinc, boron and silicon help to
strengthen my bones. They all found in my supplements.
I take addition calcium as I am in my forties and want protection
against osteoporosis. Calcium also helps me in my heart health. The
calcium I take is highly bio-available calcium is in the more bio-
available form of citrates.
I also add Omega fatty acids to help fight inflamatory diseases and
improve cardiovascular health. I get my fatty acid intake from the
Omega-3. Its been double distilled and is guaranteed against heavy
metals. I find I am more calm when I take my Omega-3's.
