I'm wondering if two people can play on the same console on Minecraft while playing on a server. For example, if I were to go into a server, then connect another controller, would I be able to play with two controllers?
Well it doesn't work just like that out of the box, however if you are a little techy and you feel like you can install windows there is a trick, assuming you are going to do this on PC. The keyword for this is called virtual machines. They are used pretty much everywhere, but most commonly on huge enterprise servers. You can try it out by installing virtual box. When setting up a virtual machine make sure it gets sufficient RAM, CPU and video mem.
Now to the controller issue:they really have to be 2 separate devices. Either wired, or you need 2 separate wireless receivers. It is then possible to map one device to one machine and the other to the other one. By running 2 virtual machines, you can get something like a split screen.
For at least a couple of years now I get SUPER strange behavior in Minecraft.I can connect freely to 99.9% of servers and play them without any issues and with a fast connection.Every time I or friends buy a host(We currently have a host at ExtraVM) I cannot connect to it(Only it, servers like Hypixel, Cubecraft and Mineplex work perfectly). They can play it without any issues, they connect immediately and play with good ping but I can't even connect.
I've tried EVERYTHING! I made new rules on my Firewall, changed DNS servers and even reinstalled Minecraft but it seems it's not a computer problem as with another PC from the same network it has issues as well. When trying to connect with a hotspot I can connect and play but I do not have an unlimited plan so I cannot allow myself.I even tried opening Wireshark and sniffing the packets, it seems the Minecraft client tries to send packets to the host and doesn't get any back so it retransmits the packets until it kicks the error mentioned above(See image).
Your modem might be acting as a router as well. If you switch ISP's or upgrade your connection to the Internet, you may get issued a modem/router combination (which might explain why it worked in the past). You can verify this by looking for the WAN IP of your router. If it's a private IP, you'll need to log into the modem/router your ISP issued to you, and configure port forwarding to the WAN IP of your router.
Another thing you can try is to contact the hosting company about the problem. From what I can see you have done your research, tried basic troubleshooting, and have a good knowledge base about networking. They may be able to give you some additional ideas.
The way this problem got fixed for me is by moving ISP. Before I moved I had a NAT without a static IP and every port I tried opening on it didn't work. Now I do have a static IP and I can open ports on it. I'm 90% sure the problem was with my ISP as that is the only thing that fixed it. (I do have the same router, the same ports I tried opening in the past that were still "open" on the router and everything)
Try connecting to other servers that run on the same host. Then also check in with the server owner to ensure it's not corrupt. Run a virus scan on your PC as well. Some viruses try to lock connections to servers that may try to intercept the virus's work. Also, check if everything is up-to-date. Reinstalling minecraft might be something you should consider. Check the FAQ of the server host and check if there is a solution too!
thats an isp problem, same as me, i tried any ways (firewall, router firewall, & etc..) the isp blocking the port to forwarded, and trying to block your packets (what firewall does in ping) then you will see the connection forcibly closed by Remote host means that your remote host firewall (isp) forced the connection to timed out
A disadvantage of traditional hosting services is their fixed monthly pricing, which can lead to users paying for resources they don't utilize. The missing flexibility makes it impossible to modify the allocated resources to fit the users needs. This requires users to pay for more resources to cover peak usage.
Gameservers on exaroton don't have a fixed monthly price. You are only charged for the time you actually use your server. Running a server on exaroton costs 1 credit per GB of RAM per hour. For example, if you select 2 gigabytes of RAM for your server and run it for 4 hours, you would pay 8 credits.

In trying to help my son troubleshoot a Minecraft issue, I installed the app on my phone as a test case. I've never really played Minecraft, never had it on my phone, etc. - it's a clean install. We both use Android devices.
The issue we're facing is that we can't connect to the Featured Servers shown in the app. This feature apparently used to work. It does work on my phone if I turn off Wi-Fi and use my mobile network (and similarly, if I set up my phone as a hotspot and let my son connect his tablet). So at least I know it's an issue related to the router and/or my ISP. Having just factory reset the router about a month ago, I figured maybe I had missed a setting and inadvertently caused a problem. But for the life of me, I can't figure out what I might have done that's causing this problem.
Even more curious, while I was toggling various Orbi settings and applying them, if I tried the Minecraft featured servers at just the right time during the minute or so when the router was applying new settings, it would work. Just for a moment, though. Something going on during that settings refresh allows it to work, but by the time the router finishes applying the settings it's blocked again. But that also tells me it's the router, not my ISP.
What I don't get is why parental controls are getting in the way at all, especially on my phone, which is part of the default "Home" group and has no controls/limits/etc. turned on. I even tried adding it to the Always On group, but no dice. The only way I've found for Minecraft on Android to work properly is to disable the parental controls.
I wish there was some more granular features to the SPC app in Orbi app however it's mostly controlling what connects, can connect and at certain time frames. Seems to be all or nothing with no "hey, allow these certain" domains and such kind of configuration. Would be more helpful in these cases.
That's what's infuriating about it. I don't have any sort of content/site/age/etc. filters turned on for any users. I literally just use the scheduling feature to turn off Wi-Fi for my kids around bedtime so they don't try to stay online too late and so that I don't have to remember to do it. So even though I'm not telling SPC to block any sites/services/etc., it's still clearly blocking something.
