Romantic french restaurant with high quality food. The escargot was a delicious garlic melt in your mouth appetizer, highly recommend the French onion soup and the bouillabaisse. Reservations recommended as we could walk right in and sit down immediately. Great selection of French wine varietals. Enjoy!

What a wonderful dining experience! Our waitress was very welcoming and interesting to talk to. The tomato bisque was amazing and our group agreed that it was the best tomato based soup we've ever had. Other significant dishes that we really enjoyed included the freshly baked bread, beet salad, trout, duck, and steak. The chocolate mousse and creme brulee for dessert were so delicious as well! You should definitely check this place out.

A wonderful unpretentious dinner. Our waiter anticipated our needs, made great wine pairings, and over heard us talking about a birthday (assuming it was our pet) and brought out a lovely birthday candle in our cheesecake. Absolutely delightful!

Dining was a wonderful experience! Arrived early for our reservation and sat at the bar in the pub are. The bartenders are so lively! Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend checking this place out! Food was delicious!

Had a late night reservation and our Server took the most amazing care of us. It felt like visiting old friends. The food was superior as well. The chef came out to say hi and very shyly heard our praise. We Highly recommend his version of steak tartar! Every single thing we tried was amazing. Great place.

The Constitutional Convention of 1875 was the result of the determination of the Democrats of Texas to eliminate the radical Constitution of 1869. A strong movement to have the changes in that document made by a legislative joint committee and then submitted to the voters failed in the House of Representatives because of a belief that the electorate would resent such a centralized method of providing a new organic law. The legislature then called an election in August 1875, in which voters approved a convention to prepare a new constitution and elected three delegates from each of the state's thirty senatorial districts. The time before the constitutional convention was marked by a number of Democratic measures designed to undo many Republican acts previously passed. The centralized school system was weakened. State salaries and expenditures were cut, and the governor was stripped of his powers to appoint some state officers and declare martial law.

The majority of the convention believed so firmly in economy that they refused to employ a stenographer and would not allow the proceedings of the convention to be published. The document that they prepared provided for short terms of office, low salaries, and limited powers for officials and indicated generally a lack of faith in government. These features were the results of the reaction of the members of the convention to the events of the Civil War and Reconstruction, through which they had just passed.

By 1840, a small community had grown up around the Fort. It was known as Jernigan, named after the Jernigan family, who had established the first permanent settlement in the area. Jernigan had a post office, established May 30, 1850.

Six years later with the settlement expanding northward, the community officially changed its name to Orlando. In 1857, the U.S. Post Office adopted the name change. The Town of Orlando was incorporated in 1875 with 85 inhabitants, 22 of whom were qualified voters.

The final theory is about a company of soldiers on duty during the height of the Seminole Wars. After battling Indians back into the swamps on the east side of Lake Minnie (now Cherokee), the military troop settled there for the night. Sentinel Orlando Reeves was guarding the camp when he spotted a log floating toward him. Recognizing the Indian disguise and wanting to warn his fellow soldiers, he fired his gun.Arrows felled the poor fellow as the Indians came out to ambush the camp. The Indians were chased back again, and the south side of Lake Eola was chosen to bury Orlando Reeves.
