Commonwealth Summer School 2014

The fourth annual Commonwealth Summer School will be hosted between the 17-24 August 2014 at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, Semenyih. The School provides a forum to bring together high-quality students from every corner of the Commonwealth to discuss interdisciplinary issues of global importance. This year's programme is themed Global food security; can we feed a growing world?

The Association of Commonwealth Universities is committed to mixing local and regional students with those from further afield who may have never had the opportunity to leave their own regions. To ensure this, the ACU is offering a limited number of bursaries for students from member universities only: full bursaries (including return economy air travel to Kuala Lumpur, registration fees, accommodation and most meals); and partial bursaries (which may be used towards registration fees or travel). Bursaries, in either case, cannot be used to cover the cost of visas, vaccinations or transfer costs to and from airports.

Students from varied disciplines such as food security, engineering, urban planning, politics, agriculture, sociology, geology, gender, health science, nutrition and economics are encouraged to apply.

More details of the programme, eligibility and how to apply can be found here: www.acu.ac.uk/summer-school
