I thought the run up to the tea cottages was a great idea as I think
it would attract more intersest as people could sit around, have lunch
or coffee, talk VW stuff and then have a good drive home as a group or
by themselves. Other fanily members would probably be happy to follow
in a second car and meet at the location for lunch.
Most of the group turn up on their own and don't appear to keen to
bring BBQ stuff, food etc with them but would probably hang around
more if there was an food outlet of some kind at the end of the drive,
Macca's, a pub, Hungry Jacks, takeaway or a coffee shop.
Places like the Tea Cottages, Rollingstone Pub, Balgal Beach, Giru
Hotel, Bushland Beach etc may be places we could plan for? If this was
received by the group we could probably branch out a look at a longer
run to Ingham, Charters Towers, Ayr or incorporate a car rally?

It's Issue Number 4
Dated: Nov-Jan 2004/05
VW Magazine Australia
Our beach buggy was featured in it back then before we had it as a 3
page spread entitled Street Buggy... so we were trying to get hold of
a copy.
Please feel free to get in touch if anyone knows anyone who can help
or if you happen to have a copy.
Thanks so much
