Thanks to the Scouts that attended the Venture Crew planning meeting Thursday night that was led by Don Hill. Based on their input, here are the key activities for this year:

1. March 2-4- ski trip to Holiday Valley New York

2. April 27-29- Canoe trip on the Clarion River with either an extended route or a modified route from the past

3. Bike a trail- June 15-17- the C&O Canal path, part of the GAP (Great Allegheny Passage) trail, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park trail were discussed.

4. Allagash River (Maine)canoeing & touring Arcadia National Park- 9-10 day trip either the last week in July or first week in August (depending on driver availability). Preference seems to be Aug 3-12.

5. Backpacking- seemed to be the preference over white water rafting but will be revisited- sometime in October.

6. Paintball as a non-BSA activity- so will be opened up to friends of Scouts if we need more people. Probably Sept. 15. Nick from 560, Chris from 335 and Andy from 622 (former 157) will promote and organize to get to at least 20 participants.

7. Christmas party - North Park Clubhouse on Thursday Dec. 27. Possibly a charge this year pending Crew financial status.

If other age 14 or older Scouts would like to join the fun and become a member of Crew 157, please contact either Don Hill or Kevin Riley.
