Hi Everyone!
We are super excited to be hosting another WFA and it is coming up fast! I wanted to reach out to you all with some class details. Please do not hesitate to call or email me with additional
questions or concerns.
When: June 24th and 25th, Saturday 8am-5pm and Sunday 8am-5pm
Where: Roads Rivers and Trails, 118 Main Street Milford, Ohio 45150
*Street parking is free but Main Street is limited to 4 hour parking. Please park on High Street, Water Street, or in the Main Street City lot on the corner of Main and Locust. (Not directly
on Main St.)
Lunch: There will be an hour break each day for lunch. Lunch is NOT provided, however there are several restaurants with-in walking and driving distance. RRT also has a sink, refrigerator,
and microwave on site for class use. Bring snacks and drinks if you'd like them for the long day. (there are 2 coffee shops on the block)
What to Expect: The class will be both inside and outside regardless of weather. Dress appropriately.
What to Bring: Bring a hard note pad (or clipboard) and pen for the class, weather relevant clothing, a sleeping pad (if you use one), sleeping bag, and trekking poles (if you use
them). This allows the instructor to show you how to use your personal gear to make the scenarios more realistic.
If you are able to bring a full outdoor kit that you would take on a trip all the better. A fully packed day pack, backpack, or climbing pack for example would give you real life tools that
you may have on you in an emergency. This way you learn to use the equipment you own.
What is Provided: Class Workbook and high fives. Certification upon completion.
How are you graded: You will have a test at the end of the weekend, however attendance and participation are also required and will affect your passing.
Can't wait to see you in class!
Bryan
