Please consider whether we can support the Hike for Hospice this year.  For a change, we don’t have any conflicts with campouts or RenFest, so it is possible for us to put this on our calendar without any drama.  September 9^th is the date.

 

Some of us have gone out to support this hike a couple of times in the past, and the request from us is to basically provide some muscle:

1)      Setting up/moving/tearing down tables and chairs

2)      Toting and moving boxes around.

 

Jerri assured me that even though we aren’t a huge Troop, our group has always been a hardworking bunch who make a big impact.  So your efforts would be well appreciated!  And they’ll feed you lunch :-)

 

This is a fundraiser in support of Hospice of Cincinnati, who are non-profit providers of end-of-life care.  We started supporting the Hike fundraiser event several years ago as a result of a personal request to us.  The feedback from participants has all been positive:

1)      We were significantly helpful

2)      Supporting a worthy cause

3)      Event was enjoyable

 

I’ll send along more precise timing when I get it.  Last time around I think we basically helped tear down after lunch, so we were finished by about 2 or 3, maybe?

  The HOC hike is almost a month earlier this year. 

  We are holding it again at Summit Park on Saturday, September 9^th . 

  Please let me know if we have any Boy Scouts that would like to volunteer.
