Troop 246 day hike Saturday 9/9/17 - Moreau Lake State Park

Troop,

The High Peaks overnight hike scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.  

Since the weather looks great, Mr. Haug and Mr. Ross will be leading a day hike at Moreau Lake State Park, see details below and attached map.

The plan is to meet at the Elks at 9am, drive to the parking lot and start hike by 10am.  Hike should be done by 2pm, with a return to the Elks by 3pm.  Scouts would bring water and lunch and eat at the top.

If you are interested, please respond to this email by Friday at noon so we can arrange transportation (carpools).

Hike Details

Start from Parking lot on Spiers Falls Road, exit 17 of the Northway.  See map.  Follow CP orange east to yellow WR, to orange RR, to blue ER, to yellow WR, back to orange CP.  Total hike is about six miles.
