Subject: Thank You For Participating in St. James' Scout Sunday Mass

Folks,

Thank you for having members of your respective units participate in yesterday’s Scout Sunday Mass at St. James RC Church.  It was encouraging to see so many units represented, and so many youth and adult members receive recognition for the religious awards which they have earned.  We truly had an impressive group participating in this special Mass.

Special thanks and kudos to Msgr. Rosie, St. James pastor and Celebrant of the Mass, for making this special Mass a meaningful and memorable experience.  Thanks also to the great support team, without whom this celebration would not have been possible:

  • Fr. Santangelo, Concelebrant of the Mass, and Deacons Anthony and Tom;
  • Altar Servers Zachary Falls, Miles Kolarsick, and James Rooney;
  • Readers Kieran Morton, and Brandon Westerfield;
  • Those who volunteered to take up the collection and present the gifts during the Mass (mea culpa, I didn’t get their names);
  • Don Antenucci, for coordinating our assembly and the post-Mass fellowship;
  • Barbara Dudek and the Diocese of Trenton Catholic Committees on Scouting, for processing the awards;
  • Fred Pachman, for the photos recording the award presentation ceremony;
  • Joan Savarese, for her longstanding devotion to our Scout Sunday Mass, and
  • Bob Buob, our Monmouth Council interim advisor to the Religious Relationships Committee, for his help in the planning of and registration for this iconic event.

That’s quite a talented team, and they were supported by several other volunteers.  A fine job was done by all!

Please continue to promote the various religious awards programs that are available to Scouts and Scouters of all faiths.  Further information may be found on our Monmouth Council website at these URLs:

If you have any additional pictures that you would like to share, please send them to Bob Buob, for posting on our Scout Sunday Mass web page, if you haven’t already done so.  Finally, please feel free to share this message as you deem appropriate.

Thanks again, and please keep up the good, and Reverent, Scouting!

YIS,

Denis
