Troop guys,

Hall of fame voting is now open. Please e-mail me (David....@gmail.com) and Pat (Pboy...@gmail.com) directly with 1 vote for who you think is most deserving of a spot in the Schuylkill River Rugby Hall of Fame. If you don't really know the candidates please feel free to abstain. I've included a little biographical information below. The candidates are:

Tommy Richards
Rob Greco
Struan Murray
Michael "Hazbro" Leland

Tommy Richards: Played from approximately 2005-2016 as a flanker and reluctant second row occasionally. Tommy did what the club needed him to do, serving as both team captain and club president throughout his tenure. Tommy was a prolific tackler on the field and a fully engaged administrator off of it.

Rob Greco: Played from approximately 2005-2017 as a 190Lb prop and hooker. Rob's commitment to fitness always more than made up for what he gave up in size to his opposite number. Rob also served as a captain, officer, and occasional player-coach when the situation called for it.

Struan Murray: Coached from the early-mid 2000s and also played a bit around 2008-09. Stru brought Troop to within 1 win of going to nationals in the spring of 2006 and he also coached Troop's high school team. Stru's incredible talent as a coach can be seen in the fact that he coached Wilmington to a D2 national championship match appearance and he has been instrumental in getting the University of Delaware program back on track. He truly is a rugby lifer and has given much back to the game.

Michael "Hazbro" Leland: Played in the early-mid 90s and remained one of Troop, and Schuylkill's, most significant social members until unfortunately passing away last year. Haz fully bought into the concept of a rugby club as a family and always did his best to make sure that new members felt welcomed in our club. Haz played a big part in establishing that rugby is for everyone and that there will always be a role in our club for anyone who wants to be involved.
