River,
Hope you're all doing well out there and that you get a nice three day weekend. Since Monday would ordinarily be the MLK Day of Service I am asking everyone to set aside some time to go through your clothes and determine:
A. What rugby gear can be donated to the local youth rugby programs coached by JB (Nomads) and Ryan McHugh (Gratz)
B. What winter clothing you are able to donate.
McHugh is going to run point on this with me and we are currently very close to locking down an organization that will accept the donated items. Once we have that final detail we will send that information out but you can start setting the clothing aside regardless because we'll want to get that done by the end of the month.
The EPRU now has a fitness program and a video playlist that can be found here (
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2jDVShnzRULlwK7bDewizIzBZbtKnDkN) the first month is a bodyweight program because not everyone has access to their gyms/equipment right now but we will soon be adding plyometrics, sprinting, and weight training. The Union's Strength and Conditioning staff is incredible and includes Sean Gormley (United in Fit), Bob Rosato (Blackstone), Tom DeVietro (Delco Strength and Conditioning) and Mitch Vannoy (Legion). So I really do recommend that everyone take advantage of the programming.
Lastly, we have set up a Super Bowl squares pool and I've attached a copy of the PDF in case anyone is unfamiliar with how it works but the basic premise is simple - Pay $25 per square, we will randomize the board, and if the score of the game works out in your favor you'll win money. Our paypal is
srerfc.t...@gmail.com and our venmo is RiverRugbyExiles.
Good luck!
