Google groups doesn't force you to get one of their accounts. You can use your email address for their account. Not sure that all the google emails are getting through, but the yahoo ones are.

Yes, it forces you to get a yahoo account and then it forces you to open a profile both of which have to have unused names…. Just got your invite to google groups. I see that a google account is mandatory for that as well – although I have an existing google account. I also realize that I get every message I send the group – interesting.

Did it force you to get a yahoo account? That's a little bit of a drawback, but otherwise this should work.

If you think that's a problem, we can try playing with Google Groups, also. I think Google offers accepts any email address for their accounts, so it might be a little better.

Although I think I’m signed up at googlegroups, I don’t think I’m getting anything from that group. I am getting stuff from the yahoo group. I’ve attached the original googlegroup invite that states you must have a google account.

Joe,

I started getting emails from Google when I logged in my account. They started on the other email account when I added it to Google. I had to click on a link to get it to work.
