Hi, my name is Lizzy, and I’m a senior in Girl Scouts and a high school freshman. This year is the 100^th Anniversary of Girl Scouts, as you probably know, and that’s a pretty big deal. So a bunch of other girls from all over Historic Georgia and I were asked to plan a special event to celebrate the Year of the Girl – the 2012 Teen Leadership Conference. We all got the awesome opportunity to attend the Girl Scouts National Conference and Leadership Institute together in November, and let me tell you, I wasn’t expecting much. But this event was probably the most fun, interesting, and life-changing experience I’ve had through Girl Scouts. I met so many inspiring women from all over the USA and I had such a blast. We learned, partied, bonded, and grew so much together just within 3 days. The point of the TLC is to bring that kind of experience to the Scouts of Historic Georgia, and I really hope that you consider attending.
