We’re looking for twelve adventurous high school aged students and two adults to “paddle Georgia” on the Altamaha River.

 

If you are a swimmer and can rescue yourself (i.e. swim to bank of river if the canoe capsizes) this adventure is for you.

 

The experience is a week long paddling trip down the Altamaha River.  It is the goal of the Paddle GA Youth Program to expose the girls to the outdoors, gain leadership, teamwork, and outdoor skills, as well as teach them about conserving our natural resources, especially water.

 

These twelve students and two adults will be the nucleus of a GSHG group to plan GSHG’s own Paddle GA events. Be a part of the adventure and lead GSHG to the River Travel Pathway! Complete the attached GSHG Event Registration, Girl Health History, and the Paddle GA application (PGA 2012) and return to bcon...@gshg.org by April 30^th.
