I'm having trouble adding my own rss feeds to trook. I will put in the
url after clicking on the gear and i will put in the url exactly as it
was shown on the parent website. It will attempt to load it then give
me an error message that says this link is false or something to that
nature. Can someone help me please?

Can you give an example URL? It might be helpful in troubleshooting.

I don't know very much about trook, but I'll try it on mine, see if I
get the same issues.

I have also tried adding in this one by making a .bookmark file
through notepad

Running trook rev:68 I hit the settings button, then open... then keyed in the URL:

http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/feed/news.rss

The articles came up, but it wasn't real navigable on nook since it was the full web page, ads and all.

On the other,

http://news.cnet.com/2547-1_3-0-20.xml?tag=txt
is the proper URL and it works fantastically.

Try removing trook, and reinstalling from a fresh copy (http://code.google.com/p/nookapps/downloads/list)

I hope that's all it takes, I haven't run into anything similar. I'm using nook wifi softroot 1.4.0 if that makes a difference.

As I said, I hope it works. I don't have much experience troubleshooting trook yet.

one more question how did you reinstall trook?

On http://nookdevs.com/Trook are the instructions. I used the ADB Bridge, connected to nook, and then ran the adb uninstall to remove the old one.

After that, I downloaded a fresh copy, and installed using the instructions there. I did not set up third party installs, maybe I should have.

See http://nookdevs.com/Softroot -- under step 3. Follow items1-4.
Once you have that, you can run the command to uninstall and then the
one to reinstall.

On the SDK, I just had to extract, I didn't have to uninstall.

Anyone have a more-complete walk through? I can't do the SDK bit from
work, so I can't type out the exact steps I follow at the moment.
