Hi,
I have trook installed from where I soft-rooted my device with the
1.2.0 build. I have VNCed into the Nook, but it was slow to the point
of unusable (using ultraVNC) so I went to the built-in link to update
trook. The installer was downloaded and started, but I got the
message: "Trook could not be installed on this phone."

I've already set up the ability to install 3rd party apps, and locked
the wifi 'on'. I'm trying to update to r53, and I know 3rd party apps
should work because I just installed the nook file manager to try to
install Trook again. I got the same error.

Any ideas as to what I could be doing wrong?

Hm, not sure -- are there any clues from logcat? (You can turn on the
wifilocker so your adb connection stays up.) It almost sounds like
there might be a permissions problem (one of the old versions of the
softroot had some trouble with this. But if you attempt to look at the
logcat messages, or attempt to install the apk file from adb, it
should give a slightly more informative message.

Maybe I made myself sound smarter than I am, but I keep hearing about
logcat when reading about android. What does the cat stand for and
where can I find this log?
