I am on latest weekly beta of MIUI 21.2.4 (Xiaomi eu) based on A11 for Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo). Just noticed that I cannot access /data and /obb folders neither on internal nor external sd-card using stock file manager. Even apps cannot save files to those locations. For e.g. browser saving to > /sdcard1/data/com.android.browser/files fails.

This is the more elaborate response. As mentioned by the others, yes work manager doesn't work properly. It may do the work with a delay. some times 15 minutes and in some cases 10 to 12 hours. There is no workaround for that. But, if you want to do a task on a specific hour and date, there is a way to do that. you should use an alarm manager, with a broadcast receiver and a foreground service.

I recently switched my Pixel 2 for the Xiaomi Mi 9T.
1Password seems to work fine but I can't set it as the password manager for Brave (Chromium) on this device but work fine on the Pixel 2 and works fine on Chrome for this device.
I enabled the Autofill and Accessibility options in 1Password.
Am I missing something somewhere ? (rights or options to enable ?)

It really made me very happy when I saw 360 scanning all files including system files, AppLock finally locking apps no issues at all, VPN works flawlessly, password manager, VIP access, identity all are working perfectly. Only issue as I mentioned is Norton Clean. There are a couple of points that I'd like to emphasize here.

Instead of choosing a desired category in the file manager e.g documents or video etc, it shows as empty yet have several files of that type. I have to manually dig through the internal Storage to find the specific file see image:

This might seem to be a minor gripe to many users but as an avid Conky user I find the default option to be awful. Consequently I wanted to make sure I could install Conky Manager and use my own Conkys. I booted into a live KDE session and selected Conky Manager via the package manager. After an age of downloading and building files it fails to complete. Has anyone else here got a working example of Conky Manager and if so how did they achieve it? Thanks.

This free Xiaomi manager can help you backup your phone data to PC, then restore to Xiaomi/Redmi phones. However, it needs a few steps and no phone to phone transfer. We recommend you upgrade to Syncios Manager Ultimate to directly transfer data from old phone to Xiaomi. The One-Click Data Transfer tool works for both Android & iOS devices. Follow these quick steps to transfer your data safely and easily, including contacts, messages, call history, photos, videos, apps, songs, bookmarks and so on.

Xiaomi's Beta branch sees continuous improvements by the company, as it serves as the testing ground for any and all upcoming features to MIUI. Xiaomi recently took the decision to end the Global Beta branch for all of its devices with effect from July 1, but the China Beta branch continues to exist, giving us the opportunity to see what features are coming to MIUI. With MIUI 10 China Beta 9.7.1, Xiaomi is adding in a redesigned settings interface, as well as a new password manager.

This update also adds in a new password manager feature, complete with autofill functionality. Autofill API was added in Android 8.0 Oreo, so it comes as no surprise that MIUI's in-built password manager would come with this functionality.

The built-in password manager would seemingly make it very convenient for users who predominantly use a Xiaomi device for their computing needs. While we would still recommend open-source password managers such as KeePass thanks to its simplicity and ease-of-use, even a service as simple as KeePass could appear daunting to average consumers. Most of Xiaomi's sales comes in the budget and early mid ranges, especially in countries like India, and it is unlikely that the average consumer in those segments would be even aware about the concept of a password manager, leave alone use one. In that context, Xiaomi's intended feature makes quite some sense, as it would encourage these users to not set the same password for every service that they use. Do keep in mind that the screenshots above are from the early stages of the functionality, so it remains to be seen how Xiaomi further develops this feature.
