The2000 was presented in 1957 at the Turin Motor Show, with 4-door, 6-seater saloon Berlina body.[1] Production started in 1958, and the car was available as Berlina or Spider convertible. In 1960, the Sprint coup was added. The 2000 Berlina had gearbox operated via column-mounted shifter making space for three people in front. The two grand touring versions had the gear lever located in floor, and a higher output engine. Until 1961, when 2+2-seater became available, the Spider was a pure two-seater.

The 2000 Spider looked somewhat different in the United States from other markets: on European cars, the bonnet scoops were mounted apart from each other, rather than together and separated by a chrome piece as on American-market cars. European cars also received twin chrome strips along the lower flanks, whereas US cars only have a single strip.[2]

For the 1960 Turin Motor Show, Touring presented a one-off coup variant of the 2000. Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni of Carrozzeria Touring was asked by Alfa Romeo to create this showcar on the first chassis type 102.05, s/n 001. That same type would later underpin the production coup version styled by Giugiaro. The car had Superleggera aluminium bodywork, four seats and sported quad headlamps.[4] Interior featured all the instruments grouped together in the centre console, inspired by aviation. The "Praho" name was derived from the name of the fishing boats popular in Thailand and affiliated with the cars concave rear window.[5] The car remained the only example made and the Sprint production went to Bertone instead.[6]

The 2000 used unibody construction and a conventional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. The engine was an enlarged version of the 1900s inline-four displacing 1975 cc. The cast iron block and aluminium head engine produced 105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp) at 5300 rpm in Berlina using a single downdraft Solex carburettor, while the version on the Sprint and Spider produced 115 PS (85 kW; 113 hp) at 5700 rpm with two Solex sidedraft carburettors and a higher compression ratio. Two chain-driven overhead camshafts operated two poppet valves per cylinder.Power was sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed gearbox, with synchromesh on all forward speeds.

Front wheel suspension was independent, with double wishbones, the rear used a solid axle. On all four wheels there were coil springs and telescopic dampers.Brakes were drums, with a hydraulic system. Tyres 165HR400 Pirelli Cinturato CA67

The four-door Berlina was manufactured by Alfa Romeo itself, while the Spider and Sprint were designed and bodied by independent coachbuilders, respectively Touring and Bertone. Being expensive but not particularly fast, the 2000 was a slow seller, in particular the Berlina which was outsold by the Spider. The more powerful 2600 which replaced the 2000 was better able to deal with more refined competitors such as the Lancia Flaminia.

The Brazilian variant of the 2000 was produced from 1960 to 1968 by Fbrica Nacional de Motores. It had the same 1975 cc engine with 95 PS (70 kW; 94 hp). The car used the name FNM "JK", JK standing for the president of Brazil Juscelino Kubitschek, the name was later changed to FNM 2000.[10]

In 1966 two other models were introduced, the "Ona" coupe and the "2000 TiMB" (Turismo Internazionale Modello Brasile), which produced up to 160 PS (118 kW; 158 hp).[10] The TiMB had a flat bonnet, coupled with a divided front bumper necessary to accommodate the now lower-mounted Alfa Romeo centre grille.

The FNM 2000 was replaced with FNM 2150 in 1969, it had a bigger engine and revised styling, using the smooth bonnet of the TiMB. For 1971 the 2150 was facelifted, with a more squat version of the traditional Alfa Romeo grille which also allowed for a single-piece front bumper. By 1974 the Alfa Romeo Alfetta-lookalike FNM Alfa Romeo 2300 "Rio" replaced the 2150. This version was still based on the older Alfa Romeo 1900, despite looking like the more modern Alfetta.[11]

The Spider, due to its convoluted American sales history, was known as the Fiat 124 Sport Spider, Fiat 2000 Spider and Pininfarina Spider Azzura. It was sold in the United States between 1968 and 1985 with relatively minor changes, such as an increase in engine displacement and a switch to fuel injection, all in the name of satisfying the EPA. Similarly, as was the case was for many others in the 1970s, its bumpers went from slick to stocky. In all, over 170,000 units were sold in the U.S. of the nearly 200,000 units sold worldwide.

The interior is as charming as it is ergonomically different from modern cars. The layout of the big gauges, the position of the shiftier, and even the angle of the steering wheel, which was here replaced with a Nardi unit, is just about perfect for a sports car. Even the location of the ashtray (remember when cars had those?), just south of the shifter, is great for those who enjoy a smoke while motoring. Things get dicey with the heater controls, which are located around the hand brake lever. In the middle of the dash are three idiot lights that the United States Department of Transportation required: hand brake, oxygen sensor, and seat belts. There is real wood and real leather inside, the smell of which quickly overwhelms any coolant or oil you might have whiffed outside the car.

Whether or not the new Fiat 124 is a worthy replacement to this iconic roadster remains to be answered. It is based on one of the best sports cars on the market, which should make it great right out of the gate. Or perhaps not. What makes this old 124 Spider so perfect is the fact that, like so many other Italian cars, it is so imperfect. The engine of the new 124 Spider is made in Italy and the car has its own suspension tuning and styling, but only time will tell if that enough to really give this new topless Fiat its own soul and identity.

This is the best brand spider farm is a honest company they use the led chips that they say unlike ac infinty who lies about what led chips they use I have a sf2000 evo and they actual are evo chips great light run the coolest out of any brand I have used over the years I have used almost every brand and these are the best glade I took a chance on this brand great job spiderfarm?

The plant on the right was put outdoors in San Diego. Granted, our winter this year has been colder and wetter than normal, but look at the plant on the left!! That plant was put under my new SF2000 200w LED lights.

Just ordered my second SF SF2000. First one was used last winter, and it increased my harvest substantially. Adding a second grow area and want to light it right; hence, my second SF2000. I love the light, and it produces strong, healthy, robust plants.

I have been running this sf2000 for almost 3 years solid. So many grows I have lost count. This is a rock solid product have no doubt. This was the light I was waiting for. Runs cool, takes up no vertical space, and the price is great. Buds as fat as soda cans no problem.

I used to grow under MH and HPS but after having done this run with 2 autoflowers under a SF 2000 I will be changing permanently and purchasing larger models in the range. The efficacey from the looks of it will exceed my expectations

Just started my first grow ever and was looking everywhere for the perfect light. I first purchased the SF-1000 since that was all my budget at the time, but now I have the SF-2000 and just like the 1000 this light is a beast. The dim knob is just perfect for adjusting light setting. I would highly recommend this light to anyone. I would love to get a bigger Spider Farm light in the future just got to save a bit but I know the light will be worth it.

SF-2000 is a 200w DIMMABLE Quantum Board Style Light. super sleek and built to last a very long time. Light is designed and engineered for providing you with a dense yield. Light is about 25 inches long and about 10 wide.. These lights give off a very minimal amount of heat which is IDEAL for any grow situation.

Hands down anyone looking for an entry level LED to get into growing then by far the SF-2000 is your GO TO LIGHT. You will not regret buying any spider farmer Product.. They are great and customer service is awesome!. Thank you,

So far the spider farmer Sf 2000 has been an amazing product for me. Got through veg with 4 beauties of plants and am now in the first week of flower. I cannot recommend light enough, it has exceeded my expectations so far.

Holy crap let me tell you does this light blow me away! I first saw it on mr.canucks youtube and was amazed by the specs for the price. I upgraded from a cheap Amazon blurple light and the difference is astounding. My plants have never looked happier or healthier!

I have been using the sf-2000 in my 33 and it absolutely kills it every time. The best investment I have made for my grow. I like it so much I have been looking for a spider farmer light/lights to cover my 55.
