I have Thunderbike mufflers(?) on my Scrambler. They are nice quality, but they are LOUD! I like them because they keep me from getting tickerts as I have to criuse around very gently. Get better gas mileage, too.

    All,

I'm the happy owner (since new) of a '97 Trophy triple, and as anyone
who owns one of these knows - it's a fine machine; but lacks any sort
of 'bark' from the OEM mufflers. more...

Glad to see the forum come to life again. As I recall there was a decent
manufacturer in Australia or New Zealand that made some great slip ons --
but only for a few years (95-99 or so). more...

There are almost no options that I know of.
Perhaps Staintune still have a few sets in stock...pricey,but awesome, used market?

There was a Texas maker.....lesser quality, very loud...too loud more...

Staintune, the Australian manufacturer, stopped making pipes for the T3s long, long ago.

D&D is the Texas company known for questionable fit and finish and unquestionable decibel levels. more...

Been quiet for a couple days, reminding me that I like my bikes to be quiet.  I have a 98 Sprint Exec with original silencers and feel no need to make it louder.  It does not attract the attention of the constabulary nor does it irritate my neighbors.   And it still has strong acceleration above 120 mph, or so I am lead to believe.

For those of you who have very loud exhausts (silencer does not seem to be an appropriate word), realize that there are many people in residential areas who do not share your love of loud noises and that they vote.  Many regions of New England, Boston included, are starting to put in noise ordinances based purely on the sticker on a muffler, without any measurements.  Some private roads, such as 17 mile drive in Monterey, CA, have forbidden motorcycle entry, even expensive touring bikes, because of the noise factor.  I do not want to see more areas closed to motorcycles because some people confuse making a lot of noise with skilled motorcycle riding.

There, got that off my chest.  Please keep it stock quiet, enjoy the motorcycling and be a good neighbor.  Get over the 12-year old playing card in the bicycle spokes syndrome.

I sued to have a set of Yoshimura slip-ons on my Sprint (1996), but I got rid of them for a stock set of Sprint Sport cans.
Much happier now.

Loud pipes don't do anything for me.

that being said, $50 takes the Yosh cans if anyone wants 'em
