I just turned 60,000 on my 96 BRGSprint and have always used
Bridgestone tires but now am looking at trying something else. Any
ideas? Any better lights than PIAA Super Whites? Thanks. Also. i
use Amsoil 10-40 full synthetic. 7500 miles on oil and filter. Any
other ideas?

A lot of people on the forum like the Conti Road Attacks. I've not bothered putting them on the Trident, as the siezed motor makes tire choice kind of moot, but I'm loving them on the '04 Sprint RS. Also on the RS, I'm running Rotella-T 15W40 mineral, changing oil every 2k & filter every other time. (It makes sense for my use of the bike. It probably doesn't for yours.)

Cheers,

I have used the Pilot Roads on my Sprint for the couple of sets. I like them very much. Apparently the new Pilot Road 2c (dual compound) are supposed to be even better. Conti Road Attacks also get high marks.

The last set put on my 98 Sprint Exec were Avons.  I found them much better than the Bridgestone sport touring types that I has always used before.  Warm up much quicker in cold New England winters, great in the rain.  They seem to wear a little faster, but the fun quotient is higher, handling seems more precise.   No front tire scalloping like the Bridgestones.  These were put on around 45K.  I know, hardly any mileage, now around 52K.

I use most any M/C oil I find, change it every 3K, twice a year, do not like going longer than that.  Using Castrol now, no real reason aside from convenient for me to get and less than half the price of Triumph oil.

Jim, I have 85,000 on my '95 BRG Sprint and for the last couple of
tire changes used the
Dunlop D220s. I saw that Dunlop has a new sport touring tire called
the Roadsmart
which appears similiar to the Avon Storm. I ordered a Dunlop Roadsmart
for the
rear in size 180/55ZR-17 for $146. from Motorcycle Superstore. The
tire is made in France.
I have been riding mostly on wet roads, and find that it works
excellent so far.
I now use the Triumph Mobile 10-40 full synthetic which
appears
to give the best gas miliage. When I used the semi synthetic, I notice
that
at around 4,000 miles the transmission did not shift as well.

I started out with Dunlop 205's and kept them for the first 25,000
miles. At that point I switched over to Metzler MeZ4's and found them
to be better than the Dunlops. With the introduction of the Metzler
Z-6 and the resultant unavailability of the MeZ4, I switched over.

That was about 30,000 miles ago, and I'm still happy with the 6's.
Will probably stay with them as long as I've got the bike.

Oil. during the last eight years while Millerbuilt was doing my
service, I was getting Amsoil, service every 6000 miles. No
complaints about the results. Bill Miller absolutely refused to use
Triumph branded Mobil 1 4T calling it, "An overly expensive line being
perpetrated by Hinckley."

That might have some bearing as to why he's not a Triumph dealer
anymore.
