Survey to Improve Sport, Physical Activity, and Recreation in NWT

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is conducting a survey and asking for your feedback on how to improve access to sport, physical activity and recreation services in the territory.

- The Department of Municipal and Community Affairs (MACA) has been given a mandate to write a Northwest Territories Physical Activity Strategy for all residents to improve health and fitness. An important step in the development of this strategy is a NWT Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation (SPAR) Framework. This Framework, currently in draft form, will define and describe the Government of the Northwest Territories’ support for the NWT’s sport, physical activity and recreation sector.
- You have an opportunity to make your voice heard by completing the survey about the draft NWT Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation (SPAR) Framework. Your views will help to shape the GNWT’s priorities for supporting the sport, physical activity and recreation sector over the next decade.
- Your responses will be kept anonymous and confidential – the Government of the NWT or other NWT organizations will not have access to your individual responses. An independent consultant, The Sutcliffe Group Inc., will be responsible for all data handling and processing.
