Posts must be 100% related to Fallout 4 itself. A title itself does NOT equal "directly related" when the content is not about Fallout 4. Things that remind you of fallout 4 are NOT directly related. Real world equivalents, are not directly related.

Just as I've been playing the games again, laser rifles seem like they are the perfect weapon for any army. But I was wondering if anyone could point out some cons or even why the American military in fallout haven't solely adopted them for their combat rifles in fallout?

However, today my younger brother (age 24) is in the ICU... They don't think he'll make it. diabetes related stuff. He and I both loved the fallout franchise, always theorizing what we'd do if the events of fallout occurred in real life. He always wanted to be a super mutant and I wanted to be a ghoul, so we could travel the world together forever. (Though I'm not sure if super mutants have an unlimited life span) but I digress. With contraptions I made a really cool tower that I wanted to show him... I just finished it today when I got the call that he was in the ICU...

What I love most about fallout is not the gritty setting, or the combat, I love the customizability of, well, everything about the MC. In fallout 3 you could shape you character from childhood, in New Vegas, while the backstory wasn't fleshed out, the liberty you had was unparalleled. I'm not looking for an open world necessarily, Skyrim gives you the freedom to accept or decline quests, but the fact that there usually is but one way to complete them is sort of a let down for me. Dragon age I have liked for that very reason, the choices are my own, and I get to shape my own background. I don't know if this is the right sub to post this, but it's worth a try.

Although a very unlikely concept this is my take on where and what I think the next fallout game should be: Alaska. Why? Alaska specifically the battle of Anchorage is a very big part of the fallout universe but yet we never get to actually see for ourselves. (Besides Operation Anchorage but as most of us know it was mostly American war propaganda and not actuality.)

I don't mean as the courier, sole survivor, lone wanderer, etc. As you as a person, which faction would you like to be a part of? For me, I would either choose the followers of the apocalypse or the responders. I'm planning on going to med school irl so being a doctor in the fallout universe would probably be the only way I could survive lol.

One thing that's been bugging me if that the NCR has got good organisation, and has a government and everything ect, so is life for a regular person in California pretty good for the wastelands standards by the time of fallout new Vegas. Are there proper settlements with actual rebuilt houses now? I assume that they've cleared out most of the mutated critters in the inhabited area and dominated their enemies, so is the life of a regular NCR citizen living in one of their more established settlements pretty good now?

I've been playing Fallout since i was 7, i'm 31 now, That's 25 years of watching Fallout evolve/devolve. The franchise itself hasn't received much improvement since F3. You could argue that F4 has better graphics, basic aim & shoot gunplay, base building, dumbed down perk system & a voiced protagonist that nobody asked for. I'm fine with the current graphics i guess. What about actual gameplay? It feels like i'm playing a game from 2008. Where's the improvement? The controls are janky, the 3rd person on everything looks ridiculous, AI barely exists, & bugs are everywhere. So now what, Mods? is that the answer for all Fallout titles? Weird how someone from home can fix something for free while a billion dollar AAA game company does little to nothing. I also find it weird how F76 is still littered with bugs 5 years after release & has no mod support. Maybe they've been relying on modders for too long? Go play F3/FNV WITHOUT mods or changing ini files/settings. The bugs are still there & unbearable after 14 years. Now let's talk about money. Bethesda are the founding fathers of microtransactions. The first microtransaction sold by a major publisher was in 2006 when Bethesda sold horse armor in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for $2.50. It was made as an experiment to test the market's reaction to DLC. Most players reacted negatively, claiming that $2.50 for an in-game cosmetic item was too much. Now years later we're paying for features that should be included in the game for free (F76). Single player, scrap box, building features, ECT. This isn't just Bethesda's fault, it's the consumer as well. It seems like fans will jump through hoops to defend Bethesda at any cost. Like they can't hold Bethesda accountable for anything & instead lash out at anyone who opposes their decisions in the slightest. Fans are way too starstruck when it comes to Bethesda. There's already people claiming that Starfield will be GOTY ffs. So why do you still play fallout after years of more of the same content? For me it's the mods, everything i just talked about has been vastly improved thanks to modders.

I'm playing Fallout new Vegas for the first time. I played 3 about 6 months before 4 came out. And I play all the way through 4, but I think I'm enjoying new Vegas more than 4. Atleast the story and the amounts of decisions you can make. I know fallout 4 has mix opinions, but still I want to know.

I've been doing more cooking in Survival mode then I ever have in previous fallout games, and I've also been reading the excellent manga "Dungeon Meshi", which includes several instances of characters cooking and eating fantasy monsters. It got me wondering: What does the food in Fallout taste like?

I have never played any of the fallout games but my friends suggested me to finally try it. So I decided that I should give it a go. I want to start playing them but I dont know which one is the best to start with? Any recommendations ?

So i watched some youtube videos like "worst actors in video games" and in the most of the videos Matthew Perry is there.... i just don't get it , Benny is one of my favorite character in the fallout series ... what do you think about Matthew Perry is he a good voice actor or bad voice actor ?
