Select from 16 colors to highlight as many as 10 customized depth ranges on both Social Map charts and private Genesis Edge maps. You can set two separate custom-color depth palettes for every map and easily highlight the fish-holding areas. Humps and holes, reefs and shoals, drains and ditches, ledges and breaklines will all be much more visible when set apart with custom-color depth shading.
It overlays onto your contour lines a color-coded representation of the size, shape and location of areas of different bottom hardness: dark orange areas show the hardest bottom; a lighter orange indicates the next-hardest bottom; tan is the next-hardest bottom; and pale yellow shows the softest-bottom areas.
C-MAP Genesis not only creates maps with 1-foot contours and a bottom-hardness layer for your favorite waterbodies, it literally records your dynamic 200hz sonar screen, creating, essentially, a trip viewer of every fish, bait ball, rock, hump or hard spot you drove over. This gives you a second chance to waypoint fish or structure after the fact, back at home, if you missed them while on the water. You can then export those "2nd chance waypoints" back to your compatible Lowrance, Simrad or B&G sonar/GPS unit and then pilot your boat directly to the areas they mark and get on a bite.
Social Map is a free, global, online collection of inland and coastal C-MAP Genesis charts generated by the Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G communities of fishing, cruising, and sailing enthusiasts. Anyone with an account can download free Social Map charts to an SD card for use on the water in a compatible chartplotter.

As for the question about C-Map, is that referring to -map.com/en/route-planning-and-fleet-management/c-map-fleetmanager ? Maybe somebody in the -maritime/ct-p/arcgis-maritime place has more insight, but whether/when they develop a solution for ArcGIS Pro may be a better for C-Map directly.
In the past, C-MAP only provided their propriety C-98 formatted ENC datasets that required a plugin for ArcMap. Now we have ArcGIS Maritime Server Extension (Maritime Chart Service MCS) customers using C-MAP data. MCS only supports standard S-57/S-63 datasets, so C-MAP must be providing that option now. If your customer requires the use of S-63 encrypted datasets, they will still be required to use MCS to publish map services and bring those into ArcGIS Pro.
This electronic nautical chart is supplied on an mSD data carrier contained in an SD card adapter. But without the satellite imagery oblique aerial imagery and raster charts usually found in the ""+"" format. These MAX Wide maps have only the proven vector maps stored.
Revocation excluded These nautical charts are produced by us for you on customer request in order to always provide you with the most up-to-date data. For this reason, the charts are excluded from exchange and revocation.
At a glance, C-MAP chart users can more quickly identify dangerously shallow areas, more efficiently troll the most productive portions of the water column, and more easily find fish-holding high spots and holes.
All that and more is possible thanks to a feature that allows the users of select C-MAP charts* to choose and set custom color palettes to highlight multiple depth ranges on the contour maps they use on their compatible Lowrance and Simrad sonar/GPS units.**
Here are a few examples of what your C-MAP Genesis maps will look like after applying custom color palette depth shading, compared to what they look like without custom shading (article continues below images):
C-MAP MAX electronic charts have been a worldwide standard for years, providing cruisers, sailors and fishermen with the accurate, up-to-date chart data they need to enjoy each day on the water. Still a leading choice of navigators and chartplotter manufacturers around the globe.
