Let me be first to say THANK YOU, Dave, for all your hard work as
Prefect of this club. You are incredibly generous with your time and
your knowledge of rocketry and good humor have benefited us all.

Then let me say, I think Steve Anderson is the perfect Prefect choice
and I support it 100%.

This is a great club and I look forward to being part of its future.

Over the past 8 years or so I have enjoyed serving as Prefect for our
club and feel that I have gotten a tremendous amount of support from
all of you. Together we have brought about some remarkable changes as
well as a fair amount of growth. I personally feel that with your help
the goals that I set for the club and myself way back when I took over
as Prefect have been reached and or exceeded. We have upgraded
equipment and are now totally wireless, we own outright a complete
Hypertek setup including spare tanks. We have become more organized
and added a Board of directors to help with the day to day operations
of the club. We have implemented fund raising into our agenda. We now
have an annual membership appreciation party and most importantly we
have a strong research rocketry group at the core of our organization.
Research launches were my #1 priority when I took over so many years
ago. As a matter of fact I believe I hosted the very first research
launch in the state of Minnesota and if not at least the first one for
TMN that I know of.

Now that we have a strong research group in place as well as a
dedicated core group I feel that I have completed my mission as
Prefect. With that said I would like to announce that I will not be
returning as your Prefect for next year. With the club more self
sufficient than ever before I feel it’s time for me to concentrate my
efforts towards one of my personal pet projects, Developing UMERG into
the premier rocket organization that I know it can be. I also as have
some personal projects that I just haven’t had time for lately. I want
to be clear that I am not stepping down for any reasons other than
what I have stated. I have no problems with anything or anybody and
harbor nothing but goodwill towards TMN, our leadership and its
members. I feel that I have gathered up a pretty good group of people
and that I can now pass the torch on to the next victim.

This brings up an important point of business, the election of a new
Prefect. I have given this a lot of thought over the last couple of
years and I think I have found a nominee that is not only suitable but
feel he will bring a lot to the group as well. So with no further
adieu I would like to nominate Steve Anderson as your new Prefect. I
would also at this time like ask if there are any other nominations
for this position. If there are please let it be known so we can put
them on the ballot as well. We are planning to hold an election for
the new Prefect at our December meeting to be scheduled at a later
date. Thanks for all your support and I hope to see you all at
Novembers research launch.

Dave Leininger
Prefect Tripoli MN, TAP
