Replying to Reviews from Guests

Hello all,

I have been reading over the Terms & Requirements of the API, including the specs but I have failed to find out the following:

• Is it possible via the API to fetch the review for a restaurant or hotel (yes it is), and through the API have the owner reply back?
• If it is not possible via the API, is it possible via another Widget/Tool from TripAdvisor?
• If any of the aforementioned are not possible, has anyone encountered anything like that before?

I am looking to build a tool that will give the owners the ability to reply back to Tripadvisor Reviews through a backend. This might sound as it is against the TripAdvisor terms, as it says the API needs to be used in B2C reasons and not B2B. On the other hand, I have seen a handful of Apps approved with the TripAdvisor API (e.g. ReviewPro) so based on that I made the assumption my idea does not fall under this category.

Hi Galinos,

There is currently no TripAdvisor product that allows business owners to reply to reviews outside of their Management Center on the TripAdvisor site.

Is there no plan to implement the above functionality?
Alternatively is there now way to post a reply to the Management Center with authentication so that the reply is sent without having to go through the Management Center login process?
