Senior C# Software Engineer

Cerner's Durham business unit is located in Meridian Park, just north
of I-40. This business unit is seeking a senior software engineer to
develop cutting-edge, market leading statistical analysis software
solutions. We use the latest in software technologies, so a successful
candidate must be proficient in the use of C# / .NET development in
the Visual Studio environment, developing web services and using
Microsoft SQL for statistical analysis. Since this is a senior
position, we are also seeking qualified candidates that have formal
software development lifecycle and process experience.

Essential responsibilities of the senior software engineer include:

-Design, estimate, architect and document new features, controls, and
solutions.
-Handle complex application features and technical designs.
-Devise and manage development timelines.
-Provide thought leadership for team members.
-Perform peer code reviews and approval.
-Assist in builds, patches, and releases.
-Work collaboratively with Product Management to accomplish market
requirements.


Minimum Qualifications:

-Excellent architecture, design, programming and debugging skills
-Advanced knowledge of C#
-Professional development experience with Java
-Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft SQL 2005 or beyond
-Advanced knowledge of ASP.NET and WCF
-Excellent understanding of OO methodology
-Development experience in complete product lifecycle
-Experience with integrated development environment tools
-Experience with the Scrum agile development methodology
-Ability to see the larger picture in the midst of day-to-day tasks
-Ability to communicate and collaborate within any level of the
organization
-Understanding of enterprise solutions and architecture

Preferred Qualifications:

-5+ years development experience on web-based applications and web
services
-Experience with Model View Control (MVC) architecture
-Experience with Javascript and jQuery
