Janus Charity Challenge, IronMan Lake Placid 2009

Hello TriNMSCers!

Short version: I would appreciate your support in raising funds for
Knowbility as I'm competing in IronMan USA on July 26th in their name:

Longer version:
I'm racing in this year's IronMan USA held in Lake Placid, NY on July
26th, and I'm doing so to help raise funds for a charity based in
Texas (this challenge is only available to US based charities).

In 2007 when I raced it took me forever (details here:
http://ironfeathers.ca/weblog/2007/aug/11/getting-things-done/) but
I'm determined to do it again, improve my time and I'm committed to
raising some funds for a really important charity -- Knowbility.

I've described the charity Knowbility in a bit more detail at
http://ironfeathers.ca/donate/ -- in a nutshell, one of my company's
areas of focus is web accessibility and usability for people with
disabilties, and this focus is shared by Knowbility. We've worked with
them on a number of their initiatives. They helped launch my speaking
career in 2005 by getting me to speak at a conference in Texas. Since
then I've traveled the world speaking on web accessibility and
usability -- I owe much of my current life and success to that initial
exposure.

So, it is time for me to give back, by helping them raise funds. If
you can support the intiative I would be truly grateful and
appreciative. If you're able to help spread the word and encourage
others to donate, I'd appreciate that as well!
