x-axis (Table) has developed about 1/8in of play - any thoughts?

my table (right now don't know if it was called x or y axis) has developed about 1/8 in of play.
not something I expected to ever happen, given the way I understand the slide/drive-screw/motor combination to go together.
so, clearly my 'understanding' is flawed..
naturally, it would be the axis that's hardest to get to..:-)
anyone have this problem?
any idea what I can expect when I dismantle my A1?

Sounds like you're talking about the Y axis, buried under the cover.  Are there any screws or bolts that you can see and try to tighten first?  And are you sure that the play is under the cover?

yup - it's the Y axis
I opened the front of the frame up (I've done that before)
there are two small screws that hold the threaded nut to the carriage.
both were loose. - tightening them up fixed the problem.
