I'm wondering if there is anyone who can point me to some specs for the leadscrew/rail units - ie the Y and X motion components. I know they use Nema 17 motors but was wondering about the screw pitch vs. common ballscrew/leadscrews used in modern printers.
Reason I ask is that I am thinking of breaking down my Aluminatus and using the X Y rails as Z rails/motion in a new custom printer and wonder what kind of challenges I will run into with the firmware if I'm using motion components that are unique and uncommon.
I actually have three of the rails as Trinity Labs sent me an extra one (long story) so I could even do a 3 point kinematic bed levelling thing if I decide to do a large format printer.
Thanks
