I finally got around to putting together the Bontech QR with the E3D V6 I ordered awhile back. I have to design/print the mount, wire it, and tune it. I am converting to 1.75mm filament also. I don't care for the 3mm.
I will have a bunch of 3mm filament to sell I suppose. Mostly ABS, but a little PLA.
I will be selling the extruder setup with the metal magma hotend or whatever it is. It works very well with ABS, not so much PLA. It has very low usage. This is my oldest printer, but the least used since it has always been a work in progress :)

John:

Interesting.  I have printed hundreds of pounds of PLA with my original Aluminatus setup over the years.

I just bought three 1.75 mm printers, and now have to stock both 3 mm and 1.75 mm filament, so the conversion you are doing is interesting to me.  Please keep us all posted, and post any designs that you come up with to Thingiverse.

Jon
