The set screw for my pulley is stripped and doesn't reliably secure the pulley to the motor shaft. Does anybody know a source for these? I'm scared to take it off my printer because it is *working* but it looks like the specs are 8mm inner diameter, ~12mm outer diameter, with the hobbed trench about 5mm wide. Does that match up? I can't find the BOM for the Aluminatus

Your Aluminatus is still running?  And here I thought I had the only one.  I've replaced my extruder, so I may have a spare (but well-used) drive pulley that I could ship you.  Let me poke around and see if I can find it.

Otherwise, it looks like 8 mm is a common shaft diameter, and there are several drive pulleys available on the market.  I can't remember what the original one looks like, but if it looks like one of these, it may be possible to buy a replacement.

The absolute hardest thing to do would be to drill out and re-tap the hold for the setscrew / grub screw at the next largest size.  Could even go with English threads, if there's one close.

You are not the only one.....

I have two running but no extra drive parts. Sorry.
My main board flamed a few months ago but I was able to find a direct replacement pcb assembly from the CCP. HATED TO BUY IT BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Desperation =s drill + tap.  But I am sure you should be able to find a replacement. That is a common part.

Been there done that.

I pulled mine off the surplus extruder.  If you want me to send it to you, let me know.

That said, it's 11 mm tall and about 12.7 mm in diameter, which makes it very close to the RobotDigg MK7 drive gear, part MK7DG3-8.  I suspect that one would bolt right up.

That enough to get you going?

Fantastic!  Does your pulley's box show a manufacturer or part number?

Lots of options for Christopher here...

Thank you all very much for your help. @Dave, if you're willing to part with your spare I'd be happy to buy it from you. I'd rather go with an exact match since my printer is pretty dialed in.
