As we get ready to embark on our weekly sabbath, I am amazed that we returned from Israel a mere week ago.  I am loving my continued journey with Jesus and the text, but it now faces the competing factors of daily life.  Fortunately, my time away has changed me in so many ways that I view my daily life through a different lens.  Praise the Lord!  Our children (4 and 8) have been excitedly repeating our morning prayer with us, we have been searching for the version of "Jerusalem" that was played on the bus (so our kids are singing it with us now), and we have just introduced the words "yalla, yalla."  Kids are so teachable and fun!  I pray that you are all well adjusted (from traveling...), healthy, and seeking Him for enough for today.

Shabbat Shalom!! I agree, daily life competes but my hunger to be in the Word has increased from our trip and I even find myself  longing to go back. My retirement is giving me lots of time to seek Him and reflect. I am still overwhelmed with emotions throughout the day. I am so thankful that I was blessed to be in wonderful community with all of you and share such an amazing experience.

I'm heading out for my walk now. I'm hoping this is a new habit that will stick!!

Shabbat Shalom!
Sue

I was playing the Jerusalem CD today morning and reminiscing our drive through Israel. It is amazing how this trip has touched all of us.

Thank you Carrie and Sue... and all of you who have shared your heart with us this past week. I too have a much greater sense of His presence - and a desire to seek his Word more deeply and more often! In addition, my mind continues to sift and sort through the many thoughts, words and visions from those eleven glorious days. :-)

Maybe someone has already mentioned this; however, I'd like to remind you that the History channel (#62 if viewing Comcast) is featuring an amazing five week mini-series titled THE BIBLE! Broadcast times are Sunday evenings - with part #1 being repeated this week prior to the showing of part #2. Check your local listings and/or www.bibleseries.tv for more details. The previews I've seen are stunning!

Vicki and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Until then, may His peace and comfort be present in your life each day.

Carrie, I agree that it is amazing we were getting home just a week ago. My life is forever changed! I just got new glasses and with the prescription change things are clearer and brighter! This is just how I feel about the Israel trip-  I have a new pair of eyes/new lenses to read and understand and see what the Word says and to view the events of my day. I "see" more clearly! I am practicing "just enough for today" as I look at my next week work schedule. I was rejoicing about this as I wrote in my gratitude journal last night.  I smiled as I read your message :)
Shabbat Shalom everyone! Jeanne

i too am focusing on 'just enough to keep my feet on the path' and also 'COME', When John said it he
usually meant to come with him to the next site, but I have also been taking it as Jesus beckons me to COME and abide and trust in HIM.

OK Ken, I haven't heard what YBiC is. The last part I think is in Christ but what is the YB?
Thanks
