Friends in Christ:

Have you ever wondered how all our Bibles were translated? For more than 70 years Wycliffe Bible Translators have been doing a phenomenal job of doing this translation work, across the remote areas of the world with one goal that is to fulfill Matt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Today, more than 1,600 languages are still waiting for a Bible translation to begin, and Wycliffe is working faster than ever to reach those languages as soon as possible. Larry Krause is one of my fellow Board members at the Lansing City Rescue mission. He and his wife are working towards getting 100% support before they can go and support Wycliffe Bible Translators team in an island near Australia. Their initial assignment will be in Dallas, but they cannot go until they are fully supported. They are only at 54% into their budget. They are in need of approximately 50 people to partner $50 a month or 100 people giving $25 a month for their duration of stay.

If you are motivated by the Lord, please do support this mission for our Lord.  You can click on this link below and do the needful.

If you cannot support financially, I would ask you to pray for them, as they move into the remote areas of the world to do the Lord's work.

In Christ's work forever
Stanley

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Rejoice and Give Thanks
October had us rejoicing, praying continually and giving thanks in all circumstances. We rejoiced greatly to be a part of South Church’s mission conference, called “For the Cause of Christ”.  We thank God that the conference clearly presented the need for scripture in every language and the dire urgency to send workers. We were honored to present our story to multiple classes and at a home group dinner. We rejoiced over the new relationships and gave thanks that God used our story to pour into the lives of others. We also thank God for the many people who blessed us with their kind words and others by serving meals. The Cause of Christ truly takes every member filling their role and being diligent in service.
Every Language Matters
Supporting Bible Translators
Pray Continually
Last Friday we went to Dallas to meet with multiple department heads and tour the International Linguistics Center where Wycliffe and SIL offices are located and where we will serve for the next year. We have continually prayed for clarity in what roles we will fill and for understanding of how our roles will support Bible translation and prepare us for overseas service. We feel confident God showed us the roles that He had planned for us in advance. Larry will be the Event Center and Conference Coordinator and I will serve as a Coordinator of Volunteer Workers. Both assignments align perfectly with our anticipated roles overseas and will utilize our organizational, relational, and hospitality skills as well as our love of serving others. So we again rejoice and give thanks that such amazing positions are waiting for us.
God’s Will
With such clarity and peace from God, we are eager to start serving in Dallas, filling vitally needed roles for the Cause for Christ. We must have financial partnership for 100% of our Wycliffe ministry budget before we can take our roles in Dallas. Currently we are at 54%. We need approximately 50 people to partner $50 a month or 100 people giving $25 a month. We pray to be able to begin our service in Dallas the first part of 2018 if that timing is God’s will. We are grateful to our partners and know God will supply the remaining ministry needs in his time. Please consider how you can partner with us. Will you join our prayer team? Please consider joining our monthly financial partnership team (links are below). Together we can bring God’s Word to those without it.
