FYI Folks,

The USFS will be working on some controlled burning over the next few
weeks. Our notice from them is below.

The Trinity River Management Unit of the Shasta-Trinity National
Forest
will begin prescribed burning hand piles for various projects across
the
district. Burning will begin April 18th and may last three to four
weeks
dependent upon weather conditions. Please note the following Burn
Plans
and the locations that they apply to:

Browns Roadside Fuel Management Zone- Rush Creek and Blue Rock roads.
Improved Sites Pile Burn- All USDA Forest Service stations and
campgrounds
within the Trinity River Management Unit; and Lake Forest Estates
(i.e.,
borrow pit).

All burning will occur on approved burn days determined by the North
Coast
Air Quality Management District. Smoke from pile burning may be
visible
from Weaverville, Rush creek, Lewiston, Covington Mill, Long
Canyon,Trinity
Center, Coffee Creek, Junction City, Big Flat, Big Bar, Burnt Ranch,
and
Denny.
